# Privacy

Last updated: 8 October 2026. This page explains what Stop Gambling for Good keeps about you, why, and your rights.

- No cookies and no advertising or analytics trackers.
- We keep only what the service needs.
- Your gambling answers are sensitive: we use them only to write your daily email, and only with your clear consent.
- You can delete everything at any time.

## 1. Who is responsible

The publisher named in [section 1 of the Terms](https://stopgambling.aplusz.app/en/terms/#who) is responsible for your data. The contact details are there.

## 2. What we keep

- **Your email**, to send your daily email and to sign you in on your devices.
- **Your answers to the sign-up questions**: what you gamble on, when the urge hits, and why now. They are used to write your daily email.
- **Your settings**: email time, tone, paused days and the dates you restart.
- **A device identifier**, a random code created on your device, to count your devices (up to 3 per subscription).
- **A one-way hash of your network address**, to count the free days and the device limit. The raw address is never stored.
- **A visitor hash**: the visitor counter on the home page uses a one-way hash of your network and browser so each visitor is counted once. It cannot be turned back into you.
- **Payment status**: PayPal handles your payment. We receive a subscription status and a payment reference, never your card or PayPal login.
- **A friend code**, if you arrive through a friend’s link, so your friend can be credited. Your friend is never told who you are.

Your day counter, your streak and the weekly spend you enter stay on your device.

## 3. Why we use it, and the legal basis

- **To run your subscription** (email, settings, devices, payment status): this is needed to provide the service you ask for (contract).
- **Your gambling answers** can reveal sensitive information about your habits and health. We use them only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Withdrawing deletes them.
- **The network hash and the visitor hash**: our legitimate interest in stopping abuse of the free trial, keeping the service safe and counting visitors.
- **Payment records**: a legal duty to keep accounts.

## 4. Who receives your data

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its data, and its AI service helps write your daily email from your answers. PayPal processes payments. Your daily email is sent through our email service on the aplusz.app domain. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

## 5. Transfers outside your country

Cloudflare and PayPal may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. This is done with the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

## 6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your data, we remove it from our systems within 30 days. Payment records are kept as long as French accounting law requires. The visitor hash is kept while the visitor counter runs.

## 7. No cookies

We use no cookies. Your device keeps a few settings in its own storage so the site works the way you chose: theme, language, doorbell sound, your device identifier and your friend code. You can clear them in your browser at any time.

## 8. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete, limit, move or object to the use of your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Use Manage or unsubscribe, or contact us through the Terms. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, [CNIL](https://www.cnil.fr/).

## 9. Adults only

The service is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

## 10. Security

Everything travels over HTTPS, and only the publisher can access stored data.

## 11. Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we email you before it applies.
